Their Stories Don’t Match Up
Your gut feeling is always right, so if you think your partner is lying, then they probably are. Paying attention to the stories and looking for small differences each time, will show a liar. Ask your partner about the situation on different occasions. Pay attention to the differences and if they are largely noticeable differences then they are lying.
They Go Into Unusual Detail About Things
People who lie, go into more detail than they need to. They will exaggerate the story and add irrelevant details that don’t normally get added to a story. You know that saying, that lies get bigger and more unreal – well it’s true and you can easily catch them out in a lie.
I had a boyfriend once who was a liar and you could write a book about the lies he would spin me. He hid a whole different life that I didn’t know about. And as time went on, his stories became more exaggerated and unreal.
Their Phone is on Silent When They Are With You
Whenever they are at home, they keep their phones silent or on vibrate. You hear the subtle vibrate when you are alone. Or another sign is them checking their phone when you didn’t hear it go off. Their phone is locked all of a sudden and they hide it when they are not in the room.
You Notice Clues That Your Partner Is Cheating
There are usually clues that your partner is cheating, especially if there is a paper trail being left. Are there receipts in the car or their coat pocket? Receipts for places that you have not been to together and they never mentioned to you. Have they been searching for something online, that you are not doing together? You can check the history of websites on the computer.
Can you smell different smells on your partner? Cigarette smoke or vape odour, perfume, animals? If you can, then that is a sign of cheating too.
Body Language
Body language has a lot to do with catching out a liar and cheater. These are your non-verbal clues to look for if you suspect cheating. If you notice your partner looking away when you are talking to them, then they are lying because they cannot look at you in the eyes. The eyes tell a story and your partner seems to have a bad one that they are not telling.
If your partner starts to act nervous or fidgets then they are worried or nervous about what you are asking them. When they do start acting nervous and panic about what they are saying, then it is a real sign of lying. If they start fidgeting or turn their back to you when you are talking to them. That is a sign of lying and deceit too.
